So, I'm trying to make a world with certain parameters, to eventually add mods to for some survival fun. Messing around with the 1.8.8 Customize options, and some of them seem - counter-intuitive, to say the least, particularly the 'noise' functions.
I want biomes, so superflat is right out, but I want the land to generate as flat and as low (y-coordinate) as possible.
I already have a seed that starts me out in the right sort of area, which I would like to keep if at all possible.
I have lowered all ore generation sliders to the minimum. (My definition of 'fun' is a little cracked.)
I have raised all 'noise' sliders to the max, since the reference tables I've found suggest that smooths out terrain (contrary to what I expected)
I've lowered the 'Base' as far as I can, which should take things down almost - if not completely - to Bedrock. At this point, I'm not worried about the gravel generation, but I'm still getting more terrain than expected.
Any tips?
