Trying to transport items help

I am trying to transport items from my chest with seeds in it, to my MFR Planter. I am using impulse itemducts to connect the two, and from the video I watched, it looks like I am supposed to place a pneumatic servo on the chest, but it wont place. Im playing on Sky Factory 2, and I started out just recently, (just put together a couple machines and a smeltery), so keep that in mind if you are trying to help me out a different way. To restate, my main issue/question is how I can transport items from a vanilla chest to MFR planter on Sky Factory 2 for a noob.

Use these servos, not the Pneumatic Servo

Nothing happened differently, the items still stayed in the chest with and without the blacklist.

Right-click the duct-placed servo with an empty hand, and set the red stone mode to ignored. Or give it a redstone signal.
