I haven't been able to find a good protection setup or chunk logging system for FTB, but I've seen other servers that use commands such as /chunk claim.

Also don't seem to have the /sethome commands other servers do. Any help would be much appreciated.

That would be the one, thank you!

Now I'm having trouble with essentials.

Basically anyone that joins my server can do /serverdo op TheirName and it gives them OP powers.

how do I set permissions for this command?

I'm not sure to be honest, I'm trying to help my friend set up her server. She has it running with EE3, and v7 of Mindcrack, also using ForgeEssentials. I'm not sure if she's using Fighus right now, I know she's mentioned it in the past, but was having issues with commands for it I believe.

So if she has the generic v7 of Mindcrack, ForgeEssentials, the mod you linked me towards for claiming chunks, and EE3, would she have to use Fighus to setup permissions for the other Mods commands?

Sorry, this is kind of the blind leading the blind I guess, we're both looking all over the net though, tried googling and going through every other means possible. Apparently the /serverdo thing was an error and it was fixed a week ago, but I know my friend, she updated to the latest versions of everything, and isn't illiterate with technical stuff. This is the issue reported. https://github.com/ForgeEssentials/ForgeEssentialsMain/issues/74
Says it was fixed, but ya...

So would she have to use Fighus?

Also thank you very much for the help and responses for my noob questions. :)

i'm using fihgu's and all works good, FE its a little to on the need more development side.

Fihgu's bypass op permissions,so a minecraft op can't do much if is not in the owner group in the permission mod ,and does not have all the commands put in the group files. so if as a owner you want a command, let's say, tp :) you just need to edit the @group_owner and add "tp" at the end. that's how you give permissions to different groups to use commands.

Fore some strange reason, the TP command is not put in the admin/owner group as default.

Alright, so ditch Forge Essentials? I figured other things would be reliant on Forge Essentials etc.
Thanks for the input! :)
I've seen some servers that paste the "Forge Essentials" when you login, so I think they're running Forge Essentials etc, and when I tried doing /serverdo it just said no permissions, another server, also Essentials, simply said Command does not exist. So yeah I dunno. Wish this was more straightforward haha. Might just switch over to Fighus.

did not try forge essentials new builds, so i can't tell you exactly what to do.
actually i'm waiting for bukkitforge to get more stable and use directly plugins from bukkit :)
you can do that right now if you stay away from RP deployer ( it has a bug that i'm waiting to get fixed ). and update every day ( he makes like 3-4 updates a day )

See second to last post

If you wanna give it a try. But it needs more work. Should be stable if you stick to the ported or normal, easy made plugins. And not go to the dark side ( coreprotect, precious stones, etc )

I'm still stuck with this, we're using Fighus, but can't seem to figure out how to set specific permissions, or rather, we can't seem to find /serverdo anywhere in any of the permissions, and don't know how to add it in if that's what we need to do. :(
