in most people's houses on my server i get 60+ fps. in my house i get ~20 and i have no idea what is doing it, it was worse when when i was lighting my house with nitor i have since replaced them with wrath lamps but i want my house to not be such a lag trap especially since a lot of players on my server use lower end laptops and can't even get near my house right now.
current theories on what could be causing issues
1. crystal chests
2. xychoridite
3.general machinery
4. timers
5. steam engines
6. sorting system

would any of these or a combination of these cause fps issues any help is greatly appreciated

edit 7. golems

mostly 4 and 6 and if in great enough numbers potentially 3 I'd say. To a lesser extend no 1.

i've about 5 timers none of my timers are set below 2 seconds and i run as little redwire as possible
my sorting systems really just consists of tubes hooked up to a bunch of barrels with crystal chest on restriction tubes for anything that doesn't have a barrel
yes i am the owner

Do you have any big arrays of tubes like a huge factorization processing line or something? Or do you pump around lots of liquids?
Pipes tend to lag if they have to render too much. Maybe try to spread out your creations or sth might help.

my factorization setup is fairly compact but the barrels do wind up havin a lot of tubes and i have an auto tree farm that i send all the wood to an induction furnace and i have liquiduct to run lava up to a tank and then to thermal generators i also am taking the tree sapling and using them to make biofuel

Crystal chests could be a potential source of the lag, I'd recommend switching to a diamond chest, instead. That way the game doesn't have to render all the items in the chest.

try turning off timers when they aren't needed, change red alloy wire to insulated, don't use a lot of microblocks, and try sendin items in stacks trough pipes.

If you have GT machines (i.e. industrial centrifuge), turning off the machine animation (in the config) also help with increasing fps.

I have a similar problem that has gotten almost unbearable. It all started when mystcraft crashed my world with the entities out of range error, since recovering from that its become exceptionally laggy, and I have a stack of cobble on the ground in my basement... That.... WIll... NOT... GO AWAY... I've done everything lava, holes reboots... EVERYTHING and it just keeps popping back to a random area down there.

TPS reports are all clear, and I've updated my server to the full 6 core command line but still the lag. When new packs release, if it does't fix itself I'm going to have to do something drastic.

I do know that some IC2/Advanced machines (Recyclers, rotary macerators, etc) cause log spam for servers which I'm not entirely sure, but was a source of lag for me and my friends. If you have too many of those going, try removing them for a bit and see if it helps at all. (Temp solution at best given you need the machines though.)

Any big trees (firs, redwoods) in your area? Those cause FPS lag for a lot of people.

it was timers apparently they cause massive issues for not just framrates but bandwidth usage as well right now because of lighting updates
