Title Trying to break a Basic Universal Cable crashes game

Details of the issue Trying to break the Basic Universal Cable from Mekanism causes the game to totally crash out to the launcher. I was using a pick from Tinkers Construct. So to try and work around the problem I made a Drill from Actually Additions and it crashed the game to launcher as well.

I've tried the Yeta wrench and the wrench from Extra Utilities 2. Nothing happened with either when right clicking or shift right clicking. I tried lift clicking for fun and wasn't paying close attention and struck the cable several times. The moment The One Probe started to show a progress bar on the breaking the game crashed out completely.

I made a configurator and set it to wrench and shift right clicked on my cable - but it didn't pop or break loose. The configurator is charged.

I am playing the FTB HermitPack and what does happen is The One Probe configuration screen always opens when right clisking/Shift-right clicking does nothing. If I right click on a Mekanism machine the configurator works as it should and the machine rotates. But if I shift Right click The One Probe configuration screen pops up and nothing happens to the pipe.

I've tried disabeling The One Probe from in game with no success, but I should note that I am playing on a server that I rent. I am debating removing the mod physically from the mod folder for the purposes and duration of trying to remove the Basic Universal Cables.

Any thoughts?

Disregard the above post - got my problem with The One Probe sorted out...and am now able to remove the Basic Universal Cables.

I had the exact same issue. I updated mekanism and it stop it for me. I tried everything from a TC tool to a standard diamond pickaxe also. Try updatingand see, as it were updated a few hours ago.

Scottly318 in the first reply to my OP offered a good work around. I will reiterate it here but in the future do please try and read a thread before asking to participants to post the same answer repeatedly.

I was told to use the "Configurator" from the same mod, Mekanism, set to wrench. It will break the cables without crashing the game.
