I noticed that 'CodeChickenCore' is already present in FTB Beyond. So I added 'ChickenChunks-1.10.2-2.1.3.36-universal.jar' to the Mods folder and restarted the server. However, it refuses to start up. (Log attached.)

The only other thing I added (which works fine) is the Reap mod (reap-1.3.4.jar). Other than that, the server is default FTB Beyond.

This is my first time tweaking a Minecraft server like this so I'm a newb at troubleshooting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

(Answering my own question in case someone else runs into this.)

The ChickenChunks chunk loader is disabled in this version of FTB Beyond, via the 'beyond.zs' script in the 'Scripts' folder. Instead, the ability to keep chunks loaded exists by default via the FTB Utilities mod. Use as follows:

- Hit inventory key
- Click the 'Teams GUI' icon to the left of the inventory and create/join a team (if you haven't already)
- Click the 'Claimed Chunks' icon to the left of the inventory
- Left-click a chunk to claim it, then shift left-click it to keep it loaded (right-click it to unload and unclaim it)

I'm guessing it's possible to just uncomment the part of the 'beyond.zs' script that disables the chunk loader, but I haven't tried that.

I'm guessing that decision was made due to the fact that FTB Utilities chunkloading worked very well on 1.10.2 - but chickenchunks had major issues since 1.7.10-versions (broke worlds and such). - Making a comeback again now, perhaps more stable now?!?

The "infamous" bugs - are you refering to the issues with the latest versions for 1.12.2?
(that is reported and mod author is looking in to fixing that)

Don't think that is disabled (not even present) in beyond.zs

The version you downloaded isn't the latest one, if you still want to put ChickenChunks on your server and client, use this version Chicken Chunks 1.10.2-2.2.0.52-universal

If I remember correctly - that was fixed for 1.10.2 as well + there was some other issues connected to forge and people running Sponge (other plugins based) servers.

Then if the pack creator of Age of Engineering updated to the latest versions - or if there's other things in that pack that makes it "clash" - I can't say, haven't tried that pack.

Sadly FTB Utilities chunk loading is still Bjorked.

Been playing Revelations and it keeps the "claimed" part of the chunk, but doesn't keep the area loaded when the player is away. (Noticed this when I went off exploring and came back to my furnaces still cooking up a stack of charcoal that should have been done a loooooong time before I got back :) )

You're correct; I misread it. It disables the chunk loading items from Extra Utilities 2, IC2 and OpenComputers. ChickenChunks isn't present in this version of FTB Beyond.

Thanks, that seems to work fine so far. I've no idea how I managed to not download the latest version. I have newbitis, apparently!
