Trouble with FTB Launcher on MAC

So lately I have been trying to play some of the packs on FTB and find one I really like but i have an issue. Everytime i download a modpack, it either fails completely or it completes the download but then it either can't load mod loader or the game crashes immediately. Is this normal? Can it be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Please follow the setup guide carefully and fully. This will eliminate a lot of the common problems most users experience. If after following the guide you are still experiencing problems please post a console log to pastebin.com by clicking on the 'Paste my log to pastebin.com' button on the console. Pressing the button will copy your log to pastebin.com and add a link to it at the bottom of your console log. Post that link here so we can see your log. Edit: Not sure if you know this, but updating the lwjgl part is only for packs that are for minecraft 1.5.x and lower. Minecraft 1.6.x already has version 2.9.0 And you should be using Java 7 if possible with your version of MacOS.
