Trimming unused chunks

Hello!

Recently our servers map has become larger than we need, and also we moved from DW20 to ultimate, so i would like to know if theres a way to trim unused chunks so the map file becomes smaller and we can find the new ores not-so-far-away.

Is there anything to do this?

So how is it going? I would like to "trim some chunks" on my 0.5gb world.

but is dumb, it will cut trees in half and might delete mod items and stuff.

If your world isn't 5 gb big, don't do it, is useless.

if you dont want to use MCedit becuase of the mod issue.

Just find out what regions are being used and delete the unused region files.

Yes but if your on a server and you dont want to run around checking everything you can just ask peple. Hey whats the XYZ for your base and/or quarry?

Then just the tool.
