Built a simple tree farm with an arboretum, logger, and treetap. I have a diamond pipe filtering saplings and resin and logs. the saplings are being pumped back into the arboretum no problem. the resin is being pumped into the chest i have no problem. the resin and logs are on the same filter so they should be going into the same chest correct?
but i see no logs being pumped out of the logger and through the wooden transport pipes. no logs are going into my chest either.

IIRC you don't need a wooden transport pipe on a logger. IT should just auto eject into a BC transport pipe such as stone or gold.

Just upload a screenshot so we can see what you're doing. Also what pack are you using?

Geez guys... forgetting everything about an old machine the moment you stop using it? Son, I am disappoint.

Davykinz: the old Forestry farms and harvesters are side sensitive. On the logger, apples and spalings come out the top (and only out the top), while wood comes out the side (and only out the side). In your screenshot, you only have a pipe on top of the logger, and therefore you're not getting wood output. Additionally, the harvesters will eject into adjacent chests only when there is no pipe connected to it anywhere (just for the sake of completion, as that's something that used to leave me headscratching back in the day).

The side sensitive output is useful for some builds, and inconvenient for some other builds. If you are playing solo, you can change the behavior in Forestry's config file:
In /config/forestry/common.conf, find harvesters.sidesensitive=true and planters.sidesensitive=true, and set them to false.

Other than that, I recommend you look into Forestry's new Multifarms sometime. You can still use the old ones because you are still on Minecraft 1.4.7 with the Ultimate pack, but in newer versions of Forestry the old farms have been removed. Better get used to the new ones. You can find info about them on the Forestry wiki.

EDIT: Sniped by Skirty. Good job, at least one person remembered! :D

I was forgetting, that's why I wanted to see a screen shot. I also realized that I don't even use forestry for anything other than bees. MFR is just more my style for farms and liquid fuel. I'd even try tree breeding, but there's a mod (forget which one) that let's you dye planks so I don't need to breed trees.

Glad this guy got sorted out though. Go team!

It ejects wood out the top and saplings/apples out the side.

Or it might be the opposite to that. You don't need a wooden pipe. Wooden pipes are used in conjunction with an engine for "switch-on, switch-off" functionality (imo), or to restrict direction of iron pipes.
