I was wondering how to fuel my Solid-Fueled HP Boiler with my SC Tree Farm. I already have the tree farm set up I just need to know how to set up the sawmills, etc. Screenshots or Videos would be very well appreciated.

Setup your sawmill?

Like any TE machines, you can configure all the sides except the front.

You can make the side you want as an input, and if a BC pipe or an inventory (bioler?) is connected to the output, it will automatically dump into it.

If you really need a screenshot for that, let me do a test world really quick for you.

EDIT: Here is a screenshot. put blue at the input, yellow on top and red at the output side

Alright I appreciate it, I saw other set ups and they looked a lot more complicated and it was kind of confusing. Thanks for clearing this up.

Just an FYI if you have gregtech (I'm not 100% sure this is a gregtech issue, TE might have changed...) -- anyway, the autocrafter pictured there won't work for sawdust, you have to compress it with a Compressor, and of course power the compressor with EU.

err... actually i can't tell if that is an autocrafting table or a compressor as I never use vanilla textures :p

The SC tree farm produces a ridiculous amount of wood from a fairly small area if you make the track in an bubbled E shape and you make sure to leave 3 gaps between all of the track sections for the trees to grow. I've got a 36LP boiler being fed by it via a sawmill and the boiler is powering 9 industrial steam engines, 10 RECs, all my TE machines and then 2 separate energy tesseracts (different frequencies) which are each running quarries at max speed, and the boiler isn't even breaking a sweat. It uses roughly 1 plank every 3-4 seconds and I wound up having to void the surplus wood as the tree farm was producing so much wood.

Have found a use for the surplus wood now - 50 IC2 generators all being fed by planks! :D We were running off an MV array before but they are such a pain in the arse to make that none of us have to will to make an HV one. We now have 500 EU/t (HV array = 512 EU/t, but only daytime and no rain) on tap all the time and the good thing about the generators is that once the MFSU is full they stop burning the wood until there's somewhere to store the energy. I've got the glassfibre cable to the MFSU nearest the first generator in the line, and then I have a structure pipe attached to the first generator with an iron AND gate, then red pipe wire running to my REC which is powering the wood pipe pulling the planks out of the bottom of the plank barrel. The gate on the generator is set to 'can store energy' (I think.. it's one of the settings anyway - all the others either don't work or are glitched) and as soon as MFSU loses some energy it pulls from the stored energy in the very first generator which in turn is detected by the gate which then emits a red pipe signal and turns on the REC ('red pipe wire = redstone signal' - set REC signal to 'high') which then powers the wood pipe that pulls the planks out! :D Any planks that don't have space to go in the generators just go back to the barrel and the whole system shuts down again until the MFSU loses some power.

Basic set up as follows :

SC tree farm > cargo manager
Cargo manager: 3 sections set to empty storage from cart. 1 section set to pull from cargo manager to engine, and then put a log in each of the 3 engine slots on the cart. This way it'll dump everything it harvests, then refill its engine slots with the logs it chopped down so is self-sufficient and you never need to touch it again.

Cargo distributor set to pull 'all' on whichever side you're connecting your pipe too. I don't use RP if I can help it, so for me it's a wood pipe then a diamond pipe with 2 item tesseracts. Set 1 of the tesseracts on the diamond pipe for logs. For the other tesseract don't put anything in the filter on the diamond pipe. Standard autarchic gate on the wood pipe 'redstone signal off - pulser'. What happens is the logs try to go in the log tesseract first, but if it's backed up then any surplus will go to the other tesseract as there's no filter set, along with the saplings and apples. The 2nd tesseract goes into my main barrel storage room. The log tesseract has 3 tesseracts receiving in my boiler room. I have a line of 9 sawmills split into 3 groups round the boiler fuel box. 1 tesseract on top of the middle sawmill of each line of 3 and a BC hopper on the outer 2 sawmills of each group so the receiving tesseracts will spit logs into the sawmill beneath them and the 4 slots of each hopper on either side of them. I have the sawmills to eject into BC pipe and then diamond pipes round the fuel box with filter set for logs. If there's space in the boiler then the planks will go in, otherwise they'll continue down pipe and into a barrel.... which is the start of the IC2 generator fuelling loop as already detailed.

Basically I have more BC and IC power than I know what to do with and all being 'powered' by wood planks. As DW himself would say, 'how cool, is that?!'. :D 'Nice!'.

ETA: Oh and I forgot to mention that I have the sawdust slot on the sawmills set to eject downwards where I have a BC void pipe installed on each one. You'll need to remember that otherwise your machines will stop when the sawdust slot fills up.

Well, the change might be a Thermal Expansion change to the Sawdust itself, so don't get too cocky :D
You only get the wrong sawdust with gregtech and its oreDictionaryUnification. Configure it to give the TE sawdust again and you can again produce charcoal.
