I'm currently playing the DW 1.5 (v.1) pack and I cannot for the life of me figure out why my bees seems so unwilling to pollinate my trees. I managed to breed trees just fine in the 1.4.7 pack.

I currently have 4 alveraries with faster pollinating, nocturnal, flying bees and alveary sieves. Surrounding these alvearies I have planted Apple Oak and Silver Lime (I managed to get those after a while).

It's now been a couple of months (minecraft time) and I have not seen any changed leaves and the sieves produced one miesly Apple Oak pollen.

I know there is a visual bug and that pollinated leaves might not show up unless there is a block update, but I have tried re-logging and that didn't help.

Any ideas?

I don't know if this is an actual bug any longer, or when it was fixed, but I heard it was possible for the Apiary to get stuck with genetic information that it was unable to use. Breaking the Apiary would clear the information to let the Apiary start over.

What I noticed is that sometimes the spectacles would not work if I shift-clicked them into my head slot. When I manually placed them there, they did. Seems the effect is a bit iffy.
