Tons of entities

I have been getting unusual lag lately. I checked my f3 menu, and over 400 entities were spawned. I switched to peaceful and they were still there. I am playing FTB Monster, and I don't have any pipes setup, so it isn't anything passing through there, nor actually any machines as of yet. Only two normal double chests, a bed, and four furances.

Any idea what could be causing 400 entities?

Now you are sure that you are looking at the line regarding entities and not something else.

Go creative and have a look around.

If you are using Opis, open your full map (m), then mouse over the "overlay" text and use your mouse scroll wheel to cycle between overlays until you get to entities. It will highlight the chunks with entities in them.
