Interesting to know. I was tooling around in Monster mostly until the packs went stable, so I just started in Horizons. Metallurgy is completely new to me and still stumbling around. Been busy with other things and haven't dug to deep into the metal properties. Figured there were more and better metals than I used. Is there a good source somewhere that tells their properties for TiC tools?

Not sure this is exactly what you are looking for:

Exactly what I would have been looking for. Thanks alot guys. So many new mods, tracking down the info on all of them is a task. Always nice here on these forums that everyone helps out.

Wow I got lucky. After a look at those docs, My adamantine sword blade is only bettered by tartarite for base damage. My tatarite hammer has the highest durability/mining speed there is. I was surprised that electrum and silver have such a high mining speed since I think of them as soft metals. Never would have even tried them. The mining speed of platinum looks nice though. Might have to try a new hammer with a platinum head and tartarite plates....

Chances are they are identical to the actual weapon properties, so...

Took a look at metalurgy just now. That's quite a ton of metals. Anyone know if you can disable the tools and armor to make it only usabled with extraTiC? Really dont need NEI to explode anymore than it already has (thank you forge multipart).

You can make NEI hide things from certain mods.

There's a mod called TiC Tooltips that adds... tooltips. It gives information on tool parts (durability, mining level, etc.)
