Moss works like thaum repair and they repair best in open sky. Does anyone know if they have to be in your invetory, do you have to be holding it, or....

Could you put the tool in a biblio case or something?

I think they have to be in your inventory. Cannot swear on it though.

Would be cool if they implemented it so that it doesn't heal in a chest, but does heal if lying on a bibliocraft table in the sun.

Does in fact heal in a tool rack. That being said the tool in my hand repaired faster.

Huh! Look at that. Good to know. Have you tested in a chest?

EDIT: Perhaps that means simply that when in a chest/similar, it does not count as under the open sky.
