I saw someone upgrade a Stone tool to an iron one. etc etc. I tried doing this but I don't know how... is there another mod I need to do this or not? I mean I only have a auto repair modifier on it, so it wouldn't be too bad, but once I upgrade them I'm putting luck, haste, and diamond in it... So I don't want to lose all those modifiers just to change to another tool.

Upgrading a TiCo tool just by adding a new improved part to it is a function added by the IguanaTweaks addon for TiCo.
That mod basically makes it so you have to level up your tools by using them before you can add the new parts and mine new ores. It's pretty sweet if you don't want to end up with a bunch of obsolete tools when you reach the top of the tree

The 1.7.2 version looks to still be a beta build and there isn't a 1.7.10 one yet as far as I can tell.
