Tinkers Construct problems

Hello,
I have recently got my self into modded minecraft and I have very wierd problems with my smeltery.
First of all I can't pour anything else than blood into casting table. I tried iron, copper and aluminum brass and when I right-click on the faucet nothing happens.
Secound, for some reason my smeltery drains my blood in one of its outside corners.
I'm using 1.12 alpha version of the mod.
Can some body help me?

You need casts. (ex: pickaxe cast, ingot cast, shovel head cast, etc.)

As Kel_Co said, most metals require a cast for you to cast into first.

What I'd recommend is this: place a single brick or seared brick item on the casting table, then make sure you've got at least 2 ingots worth of aluminum brass in the smeltery. Right click the faucet (remember it must be in the block above the table) and it should create you an ingot cast. Once that's made, you should be able to cast any other molten metals you have into ingots, as long as there's at least 1 ingots worth inside. Also, if you click a metal in the Smeltery's GUI, that metal will move to the bottom of the smeltery, allowing it to be poured next.

It isn't working. I've tested on creative. I'm able to make casts out of gold but not aluminum brass.

Ooh there's a thought: what other mods have you got in there? Have you definitely got ones that add in aluminium and copper?

Yes that could be the problem! TiCon removed ore generation from the mod, so you have to add others in order for it to work. Base Metals (requires MMD OreSpawn) is a good solution for this problem if you are playing TiCon by itself!
