Tinkers Construct Hearts on Re-Generating???

Even on full health and hunger, my tinkers contruct hearts don't seem to re-gen??

Am I missing something simple? or is this a bug?

Log out and log back in again, I noticed this yesterday and thought maybe the runic armour I had made was messing with it. Logged out and logged back in, and all my extra hearts were back.

The display is just very buggy. It's a visual bug, and can basically be ignored.

Hoping into different dimensions creates this visual glitch often
