Title. I can only seem to upgrade them with redstone, but I want to do it with quartz so I can upgrade the damage, not the mining speed, but it's not working. Has this been removed?
Also in the book, it only shows redstone and nothing else.
I believe you are thinking of the Exo-suit that was in a early version of Tinker's Construct which was removed and replaced with the traveller's gear. It could be modified with quartz to improve attack damage.
