Hello all, I hope this isn't stupid, but I'm having a real issue with the Tinker's Construct mod. I'm using the Magic Farm pack, if that's important.

I cannot make ANY tools (except one, I'll get to that). I'm able to make parts (stone axe head, for example) and I can make all the parts I need. But when I put them into the Tool Station, nothing happens. NOTE - I am not working with metals here. I cannot make a pickaxe with a wooden handle (stick), wooden binder, and stone pickaxe head. I cannot make a sword with any combination of the appropriate parts. The ONLY tool I've been able to make is a pickaxe with a flint head, wooden handle, and wooden binding. That's it. I just want a set of tools so I can explore and get myself set up before I make the smeltery and all. What am I doing wrong?!

Thanks!

Ah ha! Ok, stone tools are disabled. Got it. So... why can't I make a bone sword blade? Or a flint sword blade? I've started building up a rather impressive collection of my own head...

Thanks!

Because it's meant to be a challenge. You can make flint knives, but I would use a hatchet myself until you get to copper and can make a copper sword :D If it doesn't make sense it won't work. Bone is brittle and makes a terribad sword, along with stone, wood and flint. So start with copper and work your way up from there :D

Great! I'm glad to know that 1) I'm not doing something wrong, and 2) I'm not the only one out there flailing wildly at monsters with a hatchet.

The head collection is coming along nicely, though...

Because PDF files are easy to create and read? Also they print out very nicely, I will attempt to change it into something else for you. If you ware on Win8 you can download and read it in the Windows reader :D

I'm on XP. Acrobat had never worked for me, and other methods are hit-and-usually-miss for individual files.

The few times I've gotten a pdf file to work, I've had a harder time reading them. With a text file, pagedown moves almost an entire page down and I can find the point I left off quickly. With a pdf I have to search half the page for that point, until I get used to it, and I have to pagedown much more often due to the individual page size.

My problems with pdfs seems to be just mine, so don't worry about it too much.

Here's a possible workaround: Assuming you have a gmail account, add the pdf to your google drive, then use the built-in google pdf viewer to view it. It's worth a try, at the very least.
