Tinkers Construct and the "smart" idea of placing blocks with a pick! Urgent problem.

Anyone know if there is possible to disable block placing with a obsidian pickaxe? Don't know what he was thinking. I have different per world placement banlist and global placement banlist. Also per player check protection, This option makes possible placement of any banned item even in protection.

I can't ban obsidian pickaxe as all picks have the same id..

This is on right click correct? and with that are the other items with the same id have a right click component that does something different? I think using tekkit restrict you can block use (which is normally considered right click, but I am no expert on tekkit restrict as I don't use it) for that id. If tekkit restrict does not does not protection plugin/mod allow for listing what items cannot be used in an area?

I think you refer to block place. i will try that. don't know why i did not think about it till now )

No I was thinking on the obsidian pickaxe. You should get a player interact event (with right click normal being considered use). If the rightclick is bypassing protections then it is not triggering a block place event, or the player associated with the placement is oped.
