Me and a buddy started using these hammers and put auto smelt on them and was wondering if anybody else noticed how retarded the graphic looks when mining. IT also takes up the entire screen.

Is there anyway to disable this?

Any help would greatly be appreciated as this is extremely distracting when trying to mine. You cant even see in front of yourself its so bad. And its not my texture pack because i tested it on several other packs and its ugly on all of them.

Inb4 Hammer with auto smelting is op. I love mining and the hammer is loads of fun.

I don't know about disabling auto-smelt effects in TiC, but it does work with the Fortune effect (add lapis). Been meaning to try this myself.

Try a hammer with fortune/auto-smelt. Then consider op or not. :p

Im actually talking about the graphic when it auto smelts stuff as you mine it. Its very distracting and makes mining hard because you cant see in front of you.

Also celestial Fortune stacks with auto smelt so generally you get 3 ingots per ore instead of just 2.

Did lots of testing and its better to use auto smelt on a hammer or pick than silk touch and use machines.

Celestial fortune? o_O

As for silky to machine, it is usually depends on the mod process you use. Lapis ore I know for fact dropped 23 for me with a Fortune III pick, which is nearly triple any machine.

Generally speaking, I'll use a Silk Touch hammer and then have a Fortune pick or hammer waiting for me back at base. That way, things like Lapis and Redstone are stored in a more compact manner, and I can pick and choose whether I want to use Fortune on it (lapis, redstone, diamond, coal) or process it via Pulverizer (most metals, but particularly copper [gold dust as a rare side product] and ferrous ore [pulverized shiny dust]). (Obviously the Pulverizer bit doesn't yet work in 1.6, but still. ;) )

No need to worry about inventory space once you get an enderchest/enderpouch to link to your inventory sorting input. :)

Interesting method though, silky hammer. So many goodies in TiC to try out. :D
