Hello fellow server owners!

As Nallar has stopped working on TT (cries in a corner), how will everyone combat the lack of support for MC 1.6 when it's release is just around the corner? I have a huge frekkin server with 24 cores each with 3.4ghz cores. I'm kinda afraid that this server will be unuseable now when I cannot use TT on it anymore.

If anyone have any ideas on how to "combat" my problem, please let me know! :) Thanks.

24 cores?!?! Rent a server with 4 cores instead... a high end quad can goes about 3.5-3.8Ghz+, Or run multiple minecraft servers on the same machine to use up all those cores. TT was highly unstable to begins with and those who got it work I'm sure got game problems like this one server got a stupid 16 cores dedicated machine and TT was interring with turtles.

I used TT for 3 months on 1.4.7, first one was hard, reported a lot of bugs. but last 2 :) walk in the park. i was running the server for 2-5 days with no restart, always 20 tps.

On topic: No, there is no replacement/alternative . If no one picks Nallar project ( and no one has done that so far ) you are stuck with 1 core

Well, more cores can be used for things like Dynmap and garbage collection. Anything above 4 or 6 cores is a complete waste.

Exactly and with about 4, you can make sure that the OS and the things below the "hood" of the minecraft server enable Minecraft to have it own core.
