Details of the issue I keep getting

Ticking screen java.lang.StackOverflowError: Ticking screen

I've been playing on this server for months and was actually just on the server this morning, I've not changed anything in any of my files. I don't have optifine, I've tried lowering my render distance, I've deleted the modpack and reinstalled it, I've even taken the modpack file from my boyfriend and dropped it in mine. He can get on...I can't. I'm not sure what else to do. Please help.
