Made a magic map for the Twilight Forest, this doesnt look right

wow, that sucks...am I supposed to make 10 maps to explore what there is to explore?
Also, why doesnt it center on me? I've already made two and they were exactly the same

chances are one of everything will be in the area

probably a simplification in the code that snaps the map to a larger grid, to get a different map get oustide the area of the map you have and create a new one

Each magic map goes off of a set of chunks, about 4 times larger than a basic vanilla map, but it'll start you off wherever you spawn in that set of chunks. If you want to see what i mean, then go in any direction a decent bit and you'll show up at a different position or on a different set of chunks.

that's Twilight Forest for you. it's more of a questing mod and isn't really meant to be easy
if you only want a map without the dungeon icons you could also simply use Mapwriter or JourneyMap

You don't even need that map to find things anyway. If you find a dungeon, all you need to do is travel in any cardinal direction and you will find something else.
The location of dungons seems to be set on a grid.
