Summary of the problem Thermal Foundation Sickle

What is the bug? I don't know if it's intended or not, but I crafted the sickle from Thermal Foundation to clear the leaves from trees, and the sickle actually seems to be silk touching the leaves.... it doesn't silk touch the grass or other blocks that can be silk touched.
