Hey guys, this is my first post here.
So i was trying to create a dye farm. I figured that coloured wool would pulverize into their dye form sometimes. So i basically created a pulverizer with maxed out secondary output, fed some coloured wool into it, and im still getting really low outputs, maybe 1 dye per stack of wool. so my question is, Do the augments affect wool? or is this a bug?

from 1 stack orange wool i got 6 orange dye.

base chance to get dye from dyed wool is 5%. with max upgrade on 2nd chance it is 9.05% (5*1.81)
64*0.0905=5.792 dye from 64 dyed wool

seems fine for me. then again i dont know what version of TE4 you are using. i am running latest version

so i mistaken the fact that the augments dont add the percentage, but are a percentage of the actual percentage?
i thought adding them would result in 86% chance.

The augments aren't additive? :(

Damn, that really makes me sad that they are multiplicative.

IIRC, the base chance of pulverized dye from wool was reduced (quite some time ago) to prevent people from growing their own lapis (from blue sheep). Your method will work, albeit slowly and with a ton of wasted power.

The best dye farms I've seen for Infinity revolve around Botania, as any of the Botania flower petals can be turned into the respective dye. There is a consumer flower that causes random other base flowers to grow around it. Powered even with a basic mana system (Dayblooms, for instance), and harvested with turtles (I'm sure there are other methods), and you have all the dye you will ever need.
