I've made the first tesseract in Tech World 2, but it won't work as I want it to.
I set the frequency to 1 in both, disabled redstone.

Gave 1 an output for items, an input for energy.
The other, an input for items, and output for energy.

I'm trying to use this to power my quarry and get the items at the same time.

Just as a check you are using a conduit to change redstone flux into MJ yes? (just use the conduit to connect the tesseract to the quarry)

Also: try using the itemducts instead of pipes to extract from the tesseract

The Tesseract can't emit RF directly to the Quarry, you'll need Energy Conduits to convert the power from RF to MJ. I think the most compact setup would be with the Tesseract on top of the Quarry and 2 sections of Redstone Energy Conduit from the side. The Quarry will input harvested blocks directly into the Tesseract and the conduit will convert RF into MJ from the Tesseract to the Quarry.

I tried using itemducts for transport, but how do you those up?
Because I set it on the red arrow and apply a redstone signal to it.
No items came out.

EDIT: I did the same with a chest, and that worked for some reason.

I think you don't need to set it to extract mode. Try it without. (so no red-arrow-mode/redstone signal)

I found that you had to set the output on the other tesseract too.
So items go: Chest > tesseract > tesseract > chest
The arrows: Red > blue > red > blue
All the red arrows need a redstone signal

Or a pneumatic servo installed, so you can set the config to ignore redstone/low redstone ;)

You don't need the itemducts for the quarry, it will output directly into the tesseract, but as mentioned above, you need to have conduits connecting the quarry for it to get power
