Anyone had this problem?

Do you have optifine installed? That has been known to cause rendering issues with CoFH and other mods in the past.

My computer does this when It gets hot or I play for several hours without a break. Does it still do that if you reload the world or close MC for a while?

Heh. I can cook a burger at 78C.

Granted, the processor wouldn't be happy about it...

Do you have a dedicated GPU or are you on a laptop? The CPU overheating shouldn't cause artifacting unless you're using integrated graphics. Even so, If you're on a desktop, the CPU shouldn't be running that hot, especially if it's an AMD.

Ugh, GPU. The CPU is only 40. I have a self-built PC. And no, this is not artifacts from heat. It's every cover block from TD.

To more directly answer your question, no - I am not experiencing this particular bug that you are describing. I am on a GTX 690.

I know this is probably very late but the shaders mod causes this glitch. I was having this same visual glitch for all thermal dynamics covers and disabling the shaders mod fixed it.
Hope this helps

I have had similar issues. Mine was mostly on thermal dynamics overlays.
The fix (optifine):
  1. press the ESC key to enter the Game menu
  2. click OPTIONS
  3. click VIDEO SETTINGS
  4. click PERFORMANCE
  5. turn FAST RENDER off
I think it is due to it trying to be too smart it bugs out. I hope this helps.

I'm using the infinity modpack and I have the same graphics glitch. I have a gtx 690 card, brand new, and I have shaders mod installed but would be highly disappointed if I have to disable it. Is there a work around?

I have a custom mod pack and I had same issue now just crashes game. Is there a work around, I would like to use both mods. Maybe I'll post in TD bug report.

They'll probably tell you that you messed with shaders and you should piss off. Actually any mod that has something to do with Tesselator class can break those covers since their rendering is wierd and stuff and its totally noones fault but yours since you want to have fancier looking game you deviant. But seriously now, devs could probably fix it, if it was more common problem, but they wont. But they could. I try to do something about it, but since mods I work with aren't open source I have to decompile and recompile classes which:
a) is pain in the ass when it comes to testing.
b) is probably illegal and would help deviants who want to have fancy shaders and devs would probably smite me for it so I'm only doing it for myself right now.

I wasn't able to fix those glitches from screen in first post yet but my mc won't crash anymore when someone places cover nearby when I'm on shaders. (Altho it stops whole chunks of land from rendering if cover has hole in it since td devs don't know quads. :v)

Try my patch mod and see if it works for you.
