(edit: spelling and punctuation > me, also not, the first line is the whole reason I started this post. the first village I found had it lol)
New Mystcraft item : Village building, with writing desk and lecterns with pages and a couple bookshelves
I had to restart in the Direwolf20 modpack something about the Mindcrack pack no longer plays nice with my system, the only messages I get in the console is "system stopping"
Still watching your vids and playing catchup, I did do some playing around with bees, i got flower loving normal/normal +- 1 flower loving tropical bees, out of converting my marsh bees with the drones from my one Tropical princess tho
I finally got into thermal expansion, really loving the energy frame power storage, and I agree the solar panels are ... flavorless ? ... just a way to convert a large amount of resources into endless power
take 1 MFE + 1 medium voltage array + 4 low voltage arrays + 4 electrolyzers, that puts out just a hair more than 128 eu/t sunny with charged electrolyte cells, 4 of those into a MFSU, powering 32 electrical engines with the circuit board tube that reduces EU usage, and I could load redstone energy cells faster than my 2 quarries could use them up, perpetually charged lap packs, advanced power tools/nano armor etc. and still have EU left over by the bucket full.
That took more copper to set up than there are copper pennies in circulation in the world though! If I had kept going I would have been doing UU matter to copper conversions,(i think)
I find that metal scaffolding is nice for building walls, topped with a row of the block of your choice, I am getting to be a big fan of xycraft blocks ( not xycorium ones, the bricks and plates and stuff ) for their no mob-spawning utility,
Wish there were marble pavers, like the basalt ones, and stairs for both, though, I guess I could build them with microblocks.
I still haven't gotten into the assembly table, though, that would have been my next thing, and using wrench turtles to detect redstone signals for full cells and empty ones.
Finding it rough going to start in DW20 pack as I keep looking for items that just aint there!
I am surprised you don't use linking books more often for normal movement, I had a nether hub, with books to most interesting places.
Annoying thing with green hills biome, it's damp
forest, meadows, etc didn't them at all, i built a grass platform out into the ocean which is a normal/normal biome, and had badlands and tiaga within a few chunks as well, so I had all 4 biome choices within normal chunk loading range of my base.
Sorry for the long rambling post! You are the only person I have ever had any contact with about Minecraft
I enjoy it quite a bit for it's sandbox.
Crud I just remembered, i forgot to screenshot my ToDo Wall
about 20 signs of things I just couldn't quite find time to get around to !
Thanks for the vids, I re-watch a bunch of them to get ideas, nice work on the plant breeding
I had 2 villagers fall down into my base ( my extensions ended up under the village i started near, and i triggered accidentally, infinite breeding .. of course, I was out of the area, and had a chunk loader.
What a mess
Not sure what you have planned, but here is my villager management idea, use a contraption, to send villagers down a hallway pushed by water, limited access so as not to get 2 in 1 cell . they fall into a 3 deep cell triggering a pressure plate. the plate triggers a piston to close the top of the cell, and a piston to open the window to the trading floor. a 3rd piston on a switch will be used to suffocate villagers that outlive their usefulness, and once they die, the pressure plate releases, opening the cell for the next villager to get washed by. when all the cells in the row are occupied. a signal is sent to a piston at the start of the hallway to close that hallway to further access. until you decide one has lived out it's usefulness. issues to deal with : excess villagers in the hallway, someway to recycle them to the breeding/storage chamber.
And, my animal farm: each cell will have 2 animals stored in minecarts, with spaces around, so the spawn will fall down into the storage chamber,(water drop) with a feeder. when the feeder is empty, have it trigger a timer, to give the last baby time to mature, then dump them into the processing chamber, either a lava blade setup, or just a kill setup, obsidian pipe -> processing system. after triggering the dump, the timer system will trigger a pipe to reload the feeder.
fully automatic
attach to automatic food farm of your choice
I am going to work on the second one first, after I get my thermal expansion tech base set up, I still need to figure out everything I can't do, because I am not using the Mindcrack pack any more, I do have tin buckets back now tho! No more gregtech!
Sorry again for the rambling post!
