yuss. Please do.
of course :)

Great! Brace for impact.

#1) Are more of these games planned? If so, is there an ETA?

#2) The Drunkard (Drunken Seer) seems to have many variations, based on the description given in the_j485's game. Is there any reason that Staxed chose one power over another?

#3)
A hint: When the GM mentions an unrelated name, it's probably important and shouldn't be ignored because of noots.
What is a noot?

The dunkard and the drunken Seer are not the same. However, there are dozens (if not hundreds) of different roles that people have come up with for this game (and mafia), and the GM can always create their own roles/modify other roles as they see fit.

And yes, more games are planned. And soon :).

True. In my game, I made my own roles. A couple didn't turn out too well. I really like what happened with the Unicorn, though. He made someone look like a wolf and the seer checked the guy who got changed directly afterwards. Then there was the adulterer who killed the unicorn (didn't know who the criminals were) to join the criminal team, then immediately got eaten by a wolf.

Actually, I might do it again, but with some monocle variants. Like one that kills the first person to vote for you if you were lynched.

1. Yes. There's one in recruitment over here:
Well, for the record, I was but a humble villager.

And everyone, it would be GREATLY appreciated if you could go click this link to join my werewolf game on the No Topic Forum:

http://notopic.freeforums.org/werewolf-signup-t83.html

2. The difference is the drunkard borrows a power. The drunken seer is simply a less than accurate seer.

3. Ask @Exedra

Woops, I should clarify. Are there any more planned for the FTB forums?

Yes, I will be running more over here, and all for it if anyone else wants to run some as well. (I might be participating over at the NTF as well).

According to the timestamp I see, this change was made 16 minutes after midnight and therefore does not count.

I was hoping this game would have been a bit longer, but it appears that the villagers have decided today to lynch Exedra. As the vote was a two way tie between Exedra and dgdas9, the mayor's tiebreaker was used. Hanging there, at the end of his rope, Exedra looked like any other human would have looked...there was nothing suspicious about him in death. No fur sprouted, no claws came out...but the attacks never came after nightfall, so they must have found the real wolf finally.

Exedra was the Rabid Wolf.

Good game, game over :). The surviving villagers win!
If you wanted it to last longer you should of made Kayla's vote change count :P

that's what I was thinking!

I saw that my tie-breaker was finally gonna be used, and when she shifted her vote, I knew the GM was gonna have to make a call :P

One major difference between this game and most of the times I've played previously is that in past games, there's been no PMing allowed. All conversation during the day was required to happen in the game thread, and only during night, the werewolves (mafia members) were allowed to PM each other, provided that the GM was CC'ed on everything. Also, most of the games I've played in before were themed - every player took on a named role from something (so we had a Harry Potter game, and I was Ron Weasley, for example) - I prefer the non-themed games, as a bit less meta-gaming goes on.

For folks interested in seeing more about roles and game mechanics, I'd strongly suggest checking out the Mafia Wiki someone put together, here. And if there's more games planned in the future, I'm 100% in to play or run one or two :P been a while, but I forgot how fun this is.

Also, thanks to Staxed for running this. This week was kinda crappy for me, and this really helped me keep my mind off sad stuff.

We actually have quite a bit of documention done up for roles and all sorts of stuff, we used to run them quite a lot...with themes and everything as you mentioned. However, I decided a non-themed game would be best to start.

And while we can easily say "no PMing allowed"...there is no way we can enforce it...plus, it adds some pretty fun meta-gaming to allow it. (though the banning of screenshots is required as it can lead to some unfun "surety" in a game about deception)

Yup, maintained by me :)

I think it's missing this game, the Borderlands game (since the role thread was mysteriously deleted) and maybe one other. Other than that, it's got the roles and rules for all of them.
I actually want to change the Wasp to this:

The wasp - Can kill one person per game, but only if they voted to lynch them the previous day. The target will then die not the night that the poison was applied, but the night after.

Hey Exedra I realised that my Borderlands game may well be lost in the ether of the internet, but I just realised I still have it in a doc. on my laptop. You still want it? I think it was a pretty decent game.
