v Knows I'm off to play D&D again tonight (yay!)

< Only plays the one, so that doesn't count as many right? :D
v Has never played a TTRPG set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

^ Should tell us more about the TTRPGs they're playing!
< Has never played Rogue Trader alas, but HAS played Black Crusade!
v Has wanted to get into TTRPGs but not had many to game with.

^ is right, nothing.
< literally the only “game” (assuming this is slightly related lol) he plays is Minecraft and thats because its tied to his childhood.

< Is watching a lot of Doctor Who at the moment as the new series has started
v Isn’t a huge fan of sci-fi

^ Is mostly right
< Generally prefers Fantasy, though some sci-fi is nice
v prefers historical fiction

(Guess its just you and me, huh?)

^ Wants to tell me what sort of fantasy they've read.
< Hasn't read any historical fiction.
v Enjoys Macaroni Cheese.

^ Is being told I tend to read things with hard magic systems
< Knows what that is
v Doesn't know the difference between a hard and a soft magic system

^ Is correct, I really don’t - is it analogous to hard sci-fi?
< is looking forward to the next episode of Star Trek: Picard
v Has never seen The Orville.

^ Seems to really like sci-fi
< Explains what a hard and soft magic system is. (hard magic is where the rules of the magic system are generally known to the reader, what it can and can't do in given situations, think something like alchemy in FMA, or the allomancy in Mistborn. Soft magic is less defined, the limits and capabilities aren't well known by the reader, think more tolkienesqe magic. It's a continuum, but it definitely exists as a distinction.)
v knows which of the two they prefer.
