Okay this is really confusing. Im running the DW20 pack with gendustry added to make bee breeding easier. i just got a smouldering queen thru the use of the mutatron. the problem im having is finding the right biome for it. the nether is a no go due to the bee in question requiring normal humidity while needing a hellish temp. also the upgrade limitation for the industrial apiary limits the temp to "Hot".

Hellish Temp. Normal Humidity. How does that even make sense unless that bee was not coded right. Or is gendustry screwing something up?

Ehm the whole point of Gendustry(aside from trivializing breeding) is that you alter the traits of bees to fit any situation. Just change the temperature/humidity tolerances to where ever you want it to be.

I dont personally use Gendustry as I find it a bit too cheaty, but this is still doable with the Extra bee machines(hell it should be doable just by basic forestry cross-breeding techniques).

The bee is coded right, because the idea is to have to manipulate the biomes or the bee. Modifying the bee is said above, but if you want to keep that You'll probably have to set up an extra bees alveary in the nether and add humidifiers until it's a normal humidity.

okay that makes sense then. i was just think that that particular temp/humidity combo was really odd. time cool off a blazing bee then!

Actually, even without gendustry you can just take your bee, put it in an acclimatiser with a few hundred blocks of sand. Pretty soon you'll have a hellish/normal bee with "down/1,2,3,4,5" humidity tolerance :)

When I did my last massive bee playthrough, getting the serum for "both 5" temp and "both 2" humidity was an early priority. But that was in 1.5 and I didn't have gendustry to allow me the path of least resistance.
