The nano saber

Why do I never see anyone use it (other than me)? It isn't terribly expensive, but its the most powerful melee weapon in the game aside from the vajra; a nano saber can 1-shot skellingtons and creepers, whereas a sharpness 5 sword of the zephyr (which is what everyone uses these days) can only 2-shot them. I can understand not wanting to use the vajra, since it uses tons of energy, and you're bound to end up destroying 50 blocks in the process. But why does no-one use the nano saber?

Well i use the mps railgun it one shots stuff and is a ranged weapon

I don't like the railgun, you go flying about 10 blocks, so annoying...

Anyway, this is about melee weapons.

Idk why, I am about to make one on single player and I know it will be a great help, as long as you have the advanced recipe turned off they are easy to make, with the advanced GregTech recipe though, they are quite expensive.

I do use the nanosaber. It's wonderful. The problem is obtaining it on hardmode gregtech. I made one before I added gregtech, and was I ever glad, because the GT recipe is full-on greg.

It's one of the first weapons I make in-game. The first being a diamond sword or a bow.

while nano saber deal good damage(10 points of damage is it?), its completely useless, if you dont have an armor that recharges it. because 40k eu for an item that crafted with few lapotron crystals(gtegtech recipe) is just pathetic.

I use the MPS Gauntlet. I was a hug fan of the Nanosaber (still am), I no longer have a way to power it with the MPS suit. It ends up coming down to, do people use the Nano/IC2 outfits, or something else. If they use IC2 they should totally go for it, otherwise they don't really have a need for it. The Sword of the Zypher can hit multiple mobs at once, some people would want to 2-kill everything rather than 1-hit one then the next then the next.[DOUBLEPOST=1369663717][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's a fun one. But like I said. I use MPS, so until I go back to IC2 Armor (gravisuit) I really don't have a use for it.

In 1.5 mps will charge and take energy from ic batteries and tools

I think MPS can power IC2 tools, but only the torso can, if you don't have any batteries installed in it you can't power them.

Alternatively, a good combo is MPS helm, legs + boots with advanced nanopchestplate.

All MPS stuff needs energy... why would that only make the nano saber worse?

What I meant was, if the MPS suit "takes" energy from the IC2 tools, then why would you use the nanosaber other then a battery case? It was really a bad attempt at a joke.
