The Launcher just launches MC 1.4.2 with no mods

Also, is this a launcher that replaces one you were running before? If so, it's a good idea to flush out the FTBBETAA, .minecraft, and temp folders and try running again, or even just test it running inside a fresh new folder (keep in mind flushing FTBBETAA will wipe whatever world you had running before, so if you want to keep that you'll have to move your FTBBETAA/.minecraft/saves folder out before deleting and then run the launcher through the cycle once and replace it, keeping in mind that some of your world may be changed because some of the item IDs were changed between pack versions).
 
I am using the 0.1.2 beta .jar and am encountering the same problem. no mods. i tried deleting ftbetaa and redownloading the modpack, and when i opened a world, Minecraft has crashed!

click the link in my sig and download 3.1 and put it into a new folder (Configs have changed so old worlds wont be able to be played)

Again in my sig there is a link to 3.1 try both Exe and Jar in a clean folder for each.
 
Place the new downloaded launcher in e EMPTY folder. Make VERY sure there are NO more old files from older launcher versions.


This seems to fix the no mods issue 99% of the time
 
I had the same problem, on 2.2 beta I found deleting the entire dir & remaking fresh fixed it in the end I hadto do it 3 times for it to work, I guess something was catched in mem some place or w/e, well it worked in the end so nuf said.
 
My friend is trying to play also, so i told him to download the client .jar or .exe. he did, but it just launches 1.4.2 without mods. he is using the latest version.
