the game crashes

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

I am having the same issue. I am a first time user of a mod on Minecraft so I am not sure what more to do, I have 32GB of Ram on my computer. I tried to have it show me a View Crash Log, but when I click on it nothing happens. I am currently trying once more to have it load so when it probably crashes again I will attempt it once more to load a crash log.

Ok, I have the log that I found in my folder after I followed the instructions you posted. But it will not allow me to post it right now so I am not sure how to link it here.

Update, I think I fixed my issue through this method. I happened to go into my settings for Twitch itself and changed the amount of memory allocated to Java and set it to its maximum. It has now fully installed and launched like normal. So this might fix your issue too?

The answer probably is to allocate more ram - but to be sure a log is required.

To set the ram to max is not recommended, it can cause issues if you allocate too much.

For 1.7.10-packs (and older), somewhere 2-4gb usually is enough
For 1.10.2 and newer - 4-6gb

Once I got the launcher through its setup I returned it to the setting it had been sitting at before. I will be sure to double check that I didn’t set it to low.
