The FTB Launcher won't download modpacks

I am also having the same problem, and so are two of my friends who are trying to play. This has been a problem since last night. I am not using anti-virus/firewalls, tried running as admin as well as compatible modes, nothing works. Kinda frustrating.

I am almost certain this is a server-side issue. I did a total removal of all things FTB and Java on my system and reinstalled the newest versions. Now my launcher has no modpacks and cannot download the list for them. I have no firewalls or AVG products. I have restarted my connection and tested it on multiple services. When you get this error: "Connection refused: connect: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect" on any other minecraft server, it means the server is down.

We will all just have to wait it out.
