You yanked the name and appearance of a lithomancer out of Magic... and then turned her into a lightning mage.

I am disappoint.

can this one question thing stop?

(<unrelated> @Someone Else 37 She still has Hedrons though and they are still used to cast powerful spells otherwise impossible to do. I saw no other way to do it with the magic types I had available except for maybe earth but I have no idea how to explain how a rock that came from out the earth would be able to make magic more powerful especially as she would only have access to earth based spells.

Now, with lightning I could easily say that it has something to do with the vast majority of potential power stored and I could more easily have her make the Hedrons before hand thus they can be a lot more complicated both in how they are made and in the different types of material used.

My guess would be that dark magic could have worked as well, however that was already plenty in use and thus not an option. </unrelated>)

Maybe.

<unrelated>Yeah, I get that you have reasons... but I think lithomancy could easily pass off as a subset of earth magic, and as for the hedrons... while cool, they really aren't a significant part of Nahiri's arsenal as far as I know. They were designed by Ugin and built by Nahiri to form a trap for the Eldrazi on Zendikar. On her own, Nahiri's magic seems to be focused around stoneforging (i.e. reaching into the ground and pulling out mundane weapons, like swords), heavy telekinesis over rock (as seen in the blown-up Markov Manor artwork), and things like causing landslides and erecting protective barriers (as described here). And also teleportation through stone, as described in the same article. And she's apparently immortal, for some reason. I mean, I know she's kor, rather than human, and I don't know what typical kor lifespans are, but the Mending (which broke planeswalkers' immortality) happened about a hundred years ago, so I'd expect Nahiri to have aged a good bit in that time (like Liliana did before signing those demonic contracts)... and yet, between her two cards, she doesn't appear to have aged much at all.</ramble></unrelated>

perhaps and why not.
Also, @Someone Else 37 there is/was a theory floating around somewhere that Nahiri was trapped inside the hell vault as well. I'm not sure where it was supposed to fit in the time line but that might explain the fact that she didn't seem to age.

I doubt that kor live as long as she apparently lived normally as the kor just like the merfolk saw the Eldrazi as gods during the Zendikar and worldwake sets. The only other race that lived long enough to remember the first time the Eldrazi are the vampires and they simply forgot about them. (I might be wrong though, mtg lore isn't my strongest point except when it comes to new phyrexia :p )

Flop

(@lenscas: Do keep in mind that the Eldrazi were originally imprisoned about 6000 years ago, long before the Mending, back when planeswalkers were immortal shapeshifting demigods. She wouldn't have aged back then (heck, Urza lived until the ripe old age of 4205, when he gave the spark that was sustaining his decapitated head to Karn), but when the Mending did happen about 100 years ago, planeswalkers lost a lot of their powers and began to age. Case in point: Liliana. She ascended before the Mending, but began to age after it happened, and then sold her soul to those demons in exchange for her youth.)
