First thing: Lolz.
Offtopic for thread, but on topic for discussion: Based on my empirical testing, a transfer node with five stacks of world interaction upgrades and one stack of speed upgrades (which, according to my testing, is the fastest configuration) will fill an adjacent crystal chest with cobblestone in 115*0.2 = 23.0 seconds, as measured by a ProjectRed timer and counter. The crystal chest itself has a 9x12 slot inventory, so it holds 9*12*64 = 6912 cobblestones. Therefore, it generates cobblestone at a rate of 6912/23.0 = 300.521739 blocks per second, or 300.521739*60*5/64 = 1408.69565 stacks per five minutes.
Dumping that into an Open Crate and letting it run for a few minutes, I get... a lot of FPS lag when I look at the pile of cobblestone, but not much if I move back or look away. And it had no noticeable impact on TPS. In the process of constructing 320 open crates with hyper-rationing pipes, I managed to crash my instance (evidently, Funky Locomotion doesn't like either extended drawbridges or ProjectRed wire; not sure which), so I don't know how much damage that would've done.
Tossing a cobblestone into a portal to an unloaded chunk every few seconds, though... that could be seriously bad for TPS. I might have to try that sometime. With Mystcraft portals, though.
