I would say it's a good thing - if dutch is your native language, your english is good enough to say exactly the same thing!

but unless you are dutch or are a Belg(I just discovered that I don't know the correct names in English of anything related to that country so I probably have it wrong) that lives near The Netherlands that isn't really a problem.Or of course live in another country that talks dutch

Its never bothered me; when I was in primary school, we had a dutch kid there for a year or two, Mark-Jan. We became quite good friends, and in all honestly I actually quite liked the dutch accent in english!

And pronunciation doesn't have to be perfect - especially with english! I just wish I could speak anything other than english

Then you are very lucky that you met someone who can speak it at least somewhat. I can give you one advice if you ever want to go to The Netherlands for some weird reason(as you can tell I really like The Netherlands ) wait a bit until most of the older people don't work anymore as they are the worst. That doesn't say the rest aren't bad because they are but at least the worst is gone.
