It's a shame that you can't auto-craft them anymore, I would have loved to itemduct one onto a TC pedestal...in the middle of someone's base.

Yeah, but then it's a stable Unstable Ingot. It's not fun if it doesn't blow up when he/she clicks it...

I don't think so.
Now I want to make an ExU add-on that makes it where if you try to craft an Unstable Ingot in anything other than a Vanilla Crafting Table, it makes a Very Unstable Ingot, which explodes the instant it enters a player's inventory or is dropped on the ground.

It's not a penalty, per say, but just a way to troll people.
