I start every game almost entirely the same nowadays. I punch a tree or two for the wood, make a crafting table, make a wooden pickaxe, dig out around 20 pieces of cobblestone, make stone sword/pick/shovel/axe and a furnace, then I go from there.

Sorry, I meant to say that I start every game game in hardcore mode, stare up at the sky until night falls, then run through the woods in terror until I get killed.
