No, but it led to the Ender TNT, which did.

I dunno.

One idea that I want to put into a mod someday: Recursive TNT. A TNT variant that when it explodes, spits out eight TNT variants one tier lower, that each spit out eight TNTs of the next lower tier, and so on and so on until you get to tier 0, which is regular TNT.

Good luck doing that in survival... each would be crafted with eight of the tier below, and one of the tier below that. So tier 2 would need 65 TNT and eight gunpowder (as the tier -1 explosive, for crafting the tier 1s)...

Also, I hope you have MCEdit and access to the server files.

Good point... but I would probably implement code and recipes for up to tier 7 or 8... so that's several million TNT per block.

You might have better luck with Chromaticraft tile accelerators. When fully upgraded, they make things run at 256 times normal speed...
