Thaumic Bees - Breeding Node Bees

Hi, I've been trying to breed some node bees for a very long time. Has anyone had any luck breeding them recently? I don't know what I'm doing wrong... I have been breeding at half moon and I'm using two different nodes (but not directly on them). One is a pure node 1038/1038 and another is a regular node 690/690 both with no successes. I can't even get a hybrid. I'm using mutator blocks (with uranium or nether stars) and have chocolate frames to boost breeding times. Even if I let them cycle for a long time, no node bees seems to be bred... Do I need a larger regular node or something?...

how for away are you from the nodes? as you need to be within 4 blocks to be able to breed a node bee

I found the best way was to setup an auto-refill system & just leave em too it, check at dawn to see if when got the required bees.

At most 2 blocks. I've tried with the node inside the alveary and I've tried with the alveary barely outside the node as well. I'm still not able to get them.

Which version of Thaumic Bees are you using? Maybe your version has a different breeding recipe? The wiki uses 1.4.3a. If yours is different, use the NEI Addons mod to view mutations.

I just got it, thanks. I used flux/pure bees to get it. I was using vis/vis.
