Yeah, it is a box. Still you won't have any problems fitting all the stuff in there. It's hard to make it aesthetic but that's not my concern. :D

Btw, I'll update this soonish. I would be delighted if anyone can tell us if other mods have implemented Thaumcraft support beyond aspects on items like how the EBXL stuff works for these research boosts. There are so many new mods since I fiddled with this stuff and I'm more of a fan of the Magic World. I'll install Ultimate for testing, though.

I've read somewhere, that the research table doesn't have an API to add bonus blocks. This means, that no other mod can add to the list of boni available.

Guess again :D.

Too bad I lost my old research room. It had a nice happy thoughts breed happy deeds vibe to it, with blue walls, vanilla clouds and a sunny entrance.

Naturally, I also had a torture room at hand.

So the only reason those certain blocks work is because they are copies of vanilla blocks? I figured they were copies like how oil works as water as a block in the world. Ectoplasm is also basically green cobweb. Well if this is the case then it makes my work quite a lot easier. Just gotta check all the old ones and figure out the new aspects. But then you can actually just tell me if there are other copied blocks like the ones mentioned.

Did you take any screens of it? I haven't personally really made an actual research room with all this stuff. The way I test these is I have enough research tables to hold all the different aspects in one place and then I put stuff near them and check if anything gets boosted.

AFAIK it doesn't check if you made a subclass of block X, but checks (among other things) for the material the block is defined to have. Material.plants for example seems to give Herba, which is why the EBXL flowers boost that.

Alright just went ahead and checked stuff out and it seems that nothing has changed. Tempus is still without a boost. Unless there's something like X ticks have passed but I have no idea.

Have you tried a clock in a item frame for tempus?
Yes, 20 of them. I mentioned in the OP that I have tried a lot of stuff so guessing in this thread doesn't help because I did that already. You are welcome to try things out in the game and post if you actually find something. A specific item within an item frame also seems too specific. I would think item frames in general would have a boost effect to something instead (they don't actually boost anything btw).

im getting a crash when i do the chickens for some reason
They don't boost Volito actually, just the same as other animals. You should use sheep.

I actually compiled a "shopping list" of sorts for this with the cheapest solutions in my opinion. I'll update that in the OP in a minute or two.

The jump boost... Have anyone tried jumping on the cobwebs or water? I mean, you don't touch the floor so maybe it still counts as jump?

The bonus actually stays active as long as you're logged in and have jumped. And from what I tested it only activated when I actually pressed the jump key.

Maybe I'll add that tidbit in the OP. I still have not tested nether quartz and other new blocks. Should do that but with just TC3 added to vanilla, don't want to bother installing a whole modpack if I'm not going to play it. I can also get the latest version for sure.
