Thaumcraft Noob

I have been working to learn Thaumcraft (playing it in Infinity 2.3.5) and I am having a hard time finding everything there is to scan. I have used one of the quick start guides online (can't seem to find the link at the moment) but it appears to be out of date. Can someone recommend a "quick scan" guide that IS update to date with the newest version please and thank you?
