I know I'm able to grab some stabilizers and a few other gadgets, but I'm wondering how close nodes have to be to affect each other? I made the Wand Recharge Pedestal without looking into it's range, and I capped a load of nodes and store them in my Dimensional Door Thaumcraft room and was slightly disappointed in it's puny range which also isn't said in the Thaumonomicon, and this storing was before I fully knew what I could do with nodes and how I could store them. This is my first time playing Thaumcraft so I didn't have any previous knowledge on how things worked. As far as I know, nodes regain slower when on a stabilizer, but the recharge range of the pedestal is probably too small to keep more than one node nearby, or if it's even possible to recharge from freed nodes? As that's probably not all that worth it anyways.

I'm also a little stuck, I've discovered all aspects (so far, will be installing 4 or 5 addons later tonight, but that shouldn't have too much affect on my place right now other than gaining slightly more warp from new items) and I've unlocked and researched all visible items and knowledge in the Thaumonomicon other than separate Golem cores, upgrades, and past wooden golems.
I know there's a new tab that eventually gets unlocked once I reach a certain amount of (permanent?) warp, but I'm unsure how to gain anymore or if temporary warp would help at all.
I'm unsure of what to scan next, I've scanned a lot of items/blocks in generation and some amount of mob drops, but not everything I can craft (Ethereal Bloom, Brain in a bottle, few mechanical and automation blocks/items, mirrors, taint in a bottle, bucket/liquid death, I'll get to these few forbidden items and flower very soon, note I said "scan" rather than unlock, as I said I have all visible knowledge/items unlocked and researched other than in the Golem section)
Wikia/Gamepedia websites don't provide enough information.

Crafting flesh golems will get you temporary warp. Make a dozen of them and it will usually get you up to some of the other warp research.

You can also find one of the thaumcraft portals and scan the guardians and the eye things they drop.

Yeah I've gained all 7 armor paces you can get from the crimson mobs and the Crimson Rites book, and the void seeds and such, I don't think they drop anything else? I was farming them for a while.
And I've killed a number of guardians and gained 2 eyes so far and scanned 'em too.
EDIT: I didn't scan the guardian.. but I have now, I'll look around for those zombies too but maybe I got them already?
Another question How should I have my infusion alter thing setup to infuse something that requires 9 items?

I know I'm able to grab some stabilizers and a few other gadgets, but I'm wondering how close nodes have to be to affect each other?

A node can bully / be bullied by another node in a 9x9x9 box centered on the node.

The Wand Recharge Pedestal can draw Vis from nodes in a 17x17x17 box centered on the pedestal. This means - without using stabilizers - you can place a Wand Rechage Pedestal within range of 64 nodes if you place the nodes in a grid with 4 air blocks separating each node.

I know there's a new tab that eventually gets unlocked once I reach a certain amount of (permanent?) warp, but I'm unsure how to gain anymore or if temporary warp would help at all.

You don't need a lot of permanent warp - Im not sure when the sanity scanner becomes available, but to unlock the 2nd tab all you need to do is fill - and keep it filled - it with any kind of warp at all (three different shades of purple - from the bottom up being permanent, sticky and temporary warp). Eating Zombie Brains is the quickest way to boost your temporary warp. I typically use about a stack / stack and a half to get enough warp to unlock both tabs.

If you havnt unlocked the 1st tab yet, just eat the occasional zombie brain so that "events" keep happening, as the tab unlock happens as a random flux event.

Scanning just provides aspects for research - outside of a few special objects associated with unlocks. To unlock the golem tab scan one of the vanilla golems iirc.

Am I right in thinking in that case that if you had a 7x7 box, with your target node in the centre and 8 nodes in the corners of that box, the central node would bully all of the outside ones, but the outside ones would not bully each other?

I forget the exact range (yours sounds right), but yes, you can do this such that a central node bullies the outsiders, but the outsiders don't interact with each other at all.

I've also found that "bright" nodes bully much faster/better than paler ones. Like, orders of magnitude better.

That's good news - I'm a bit behind with my node building BUT I'm sure I've seen a bright one when roaming the wasteland, so if I can bring that back to my base it will help me get started on the right foot.

This is exactly right, and how I (personally) always grow my super-node. Collect only nodes with primal aspects, and capture bright nodes until one doesn't get damaged to place in the center for the 20% output boost. Fading nodes can be placed in stabilizers until they become Pale. With sufficient nodes around the center node it can't drain the individual nodes fast enough to damage them directly so they last (and contribute growth) for a long time.

Use only nodes with primal aspects for this: only the highest contributor of an aspect counts so non primal aspects just "steal" growth time - ticks spent stealing complex aspects are never going to contribute to the output of the final node.

Oh really? Now, I didn't know that! That's really helpful, thank you - I assumed with the complex ones that each point would break down automatically into one of the primal aspects that makes it up! Don't know why I thought that. In that case, I'll save nodes with complex aspects for the wand recharging pedestal with a compound recharge focus on it!

Also: If you have a lot of thaumcraft addons installed, one of them adds a warded glass jar recipe that does not damage the node. Also the Blood Magic teleposer can move nodes without damaging them if in the pack.

Yes, I've come across the Thaumcraft one with the improved node jarring - I can't remember what it's from though. If that's there, I'll use that. I've got some way to go before I can touch blood magic :p

And if you have Mek in the pack and want a new random node just use the cardboard box to move one. RNG is involved. And you can keep on picking the node up and replacing it until you get what you want in it.

EDIT: Be warned RNG will sometimes give you a nasty node. I've used this to get a few hungry nodes.
