Ok, created my own Aura Node using Silverleaf Trees. Built it above 700 Vis then drew two aura nodes to it. One of the aura nodes had a black hole in it. Since the Pure Node was of higher Vis, it absorbed both of them without issue (it is still a pure node with the starburst inside). Now have issue where the flux in the area is listed as Dangerous and does not drop, regardless of how many wisps are created.

Any ideas on how to lower the flux? I have already tried placing a crap load of crystal clusters and even some crystal capacitors and it is still not lowering.

Crystal Clusters actually increase flux...

Just let it be for a while. Put down a few portal turrets or something and wait.

Chunkload it and leave it overnight. Pure nodes are durable. But watch it carefully, because artificially large nodes sometimes destabilize the environment in ways that are unexpected. Sometimes you can end up with permanent high flux as other nodes steal energy from this one.

Yeah that may not recover easily.

Much larger nodes tend to constantly spill over into surrounding nodes, which creates perpetual flux for all parties involved. It's why you shouldn't build super-sized nodes and also why they're never necessary.

I can see the point. If you make the largest node, and reinforce it with clusters and capacitors, you should be able to prevent it zapping the ores for vis. Add in a few purifying bees to eat the flux and you're golden.

You could also make even bigger nodes in nearby chuncks, so the one you have isn't drawn from as much.

Or drain the aura entirely so that it has no way of generating new flux...

(We've come suprisingly close to doing that. Last expedition showed us as using 2/3rds and counting based on radtios of dull to enfused ore)

Thaumic bees look absolutely amazing, if you can get those things in an alveary, you're sorted for flux forever.

Grab yourself some Quicksand and cover the node with it, about 3x3. That should take care of the wisps and between them spawning and the Pure node's ability to lower flux naturally it will even itself out. You will want to keep the chunk the node is in, loaded.
