Still learning, and digging info about this mod, but I still not sure if I did a mess or not.

Here is the thing, I start doing the researches and creating the new items to test it, until I made the goggles to check the flux, and was indicating as high. So I used it to try to find the nearby node, but strangely I couldn't find it. Still my wand was regen normally (I guess).

Nothing bad was happening yet, I think. At least, no wisps. I checked for info of how to lower the flux and decide to search for the Silverwood Trees for the saplings, and the wood. Found 3 trees and got 2 saplings.

Back home I decide to plant both near each other close my home, and let it grow naturally. Didn't took long for the first one, and when I checked the flux was None. So I go inside to do other things, and moments later I hear the sound of a wisp, a message about some effect happening and got this quick Mining sickness debuff. I didnt bothered, and after a few minutes I saw the both trees had grown, but not wisps, and between it a node shooting lightning. The flux jumped to average!

I know that trees generate a node, and if it close it other, it merges. But did this messed around now? Do I have to deal with this very near bad node for now on? =/

The merging causes flux. since it's a pure node now, it'll purge the flux slowly. also make sure there isn't excess magic in the node.

How I check this excess of magic of this node? Or do you mean, not using the crucible for a while with unused aspects?

So, adding silverwood trees near each other is a bad thing? Cause it generate this pure node? Cause the first tree clean it up.

Do you have the goggles of revealing? If so you'll see a number. if the number on the left is higher than the one on the right, there's extra magic in the node. Just use some vis around it to drain it out. and I can be a bad thing, if done the wrong way, though I don't really know how to explain how to do it.

Click the link in my sig to the guides, go to thaumcraft and click on aura. Someone completly documented all aura mechanics quite nicely, its a good read
