Hello! I've just recently gotten into playing FTB, and I have a world on Ultimate. When I got into Thaumcraft, needless to say I made a few mistakes. Notably accidentally throwing an entire stack of Blaze Rods into a crucible. Anyways, this skyrocketed my flux up into Dangerous levels, but not once have I had an event that would cause flux to go down. Wait, scratch that. There was one lightning strike (burned down my enchanting area) but that's it. Other than that, no change at all. I haven't even MADE that much in TC! Anyways, that's not all. I set up a lava pump using a pump, a magmatic engine, and an Ender Tank last night. This pumping station is connected to a quarry in the Twilight Forest, which is digging out an entire Huge Hollow Hill. I left this running overnight while standing in the Twilight, and when I came back this morning to check on the pump in the Nether, I noticed the nodes were all drained or draining fast, at a rate of about 1 Vis lost per second. There's an imgur album of this here: http://imgur.com/a/tQcDd The first image is of the flux situation in the Overworld, the rest the Nether shenanigans. There are also some bonus pictures below on this page of the Overworld fluxification. I stood on one block in the Fluxed node's influence, then took one step left into another node's influence. As you can plainly see, the other node is unaffected. (The reason some aura is gone is that when I left the Nether having successfully gotten 3 Wither Skulls, the nodes were all drained completely so my sword, armor, and tools with Repair weren't repairing.)

Any advice you can give me to fix this mess would be GREATLY appreciated! I've tried using the config to regenerate the nodes twice, but to no effect. Help!

The nether generally has low Vis and Vis generation, so your tools with repair probably drained those nodes... As for your overworld it seems you are by an unstable node so the flux won't go down but actually increase, try finding the node and if its got a purple vortex thing with lightning coming out of it its unstable... If so plant silverwood trees a bit away from the node to generate a pure node and keep planting and cutting them down until the node is bigger than the unstable node and then use the crystal core to move the two nodes together. Or just move base.

Second option looking at your base is that you are playing in peaceful mode in which case wisps won't spawn which is the primary way of reducing flux... Play on easy or normal, let the wisps spawn and flux will come down. Oh you'll also get ass raped by the wisps but thems the danger of Thaumcraft;)

Yeah, Hard Mode all the way. I found the node, it was buried underground. Had to grab an x-ray texture pack to find it :p Is this an unstable node?

Does that mean youre playing in Hard Mode?? No thats a normal node just with lots of flux hence the purple lightning... Are you getting wisps spawning??

EDIT:- are you sure thats the fluxed node?? To make sure grab a thaumometer and wander around the fluxed area and see where it points
