Right to the point. I've worked very hard to gather aura nodes using the node in the jar method. I would like to keep it in thaumcraft so no using other mods to "rig" it another way. I gathered about 5 aura nodes to put around my Wand Recharge Pedestal.

Problem: The aura nodes seem to share their aspects, destroying the lesser ones, turning normals into pales and pales into fading. After quite some time, I have a mangled mess of 4 aura nodes that have crap for vis. Went from having 40-80 perditio, aer, aqua, etc. to several mangled aura nodes of 2-4 perditio, aer, aqua, etc... Did I screw up somewhere? I know that aura nodes combine but it seems to be completely random and it basically makes the aura nodes unusable compared to the original node that I spent so much time getting.

Is the Node Stabalizer the only way to keep them from sucking each other dry? A lot of work was lost. Just curious to see if anyone has any thoughts or opinions about this.

I apologize if this was the wrong thread to post in. Hopefully it isn't. Thanks in advanced, everyone!~

Yes.

Depending on the functions you want to perform it may be better to transduce a node with a little of every primal for your early wand charging. However for staves, untransduced nodes and the chargeing pedestal is the only real option.

Thank you for replying, Azzanine. The main function I'm looking for is finding good nodes and a good set up for my wand recharging station. I will look into transducing nodes and what not. Seems like that is more for energized vis transfer though.

Transduced nodes have the advantage of never running out of Vis but the drawback is it isn't fast with recharging wands via the Vis Charge relay. But you don't need transduced nodes to be beastly huge it's a constant flow after they are charged. Also as mentioned the Vis Charge relay can't deal with staves as they don't fit in the wand slot in the arcane work bench.
Sadly the days of wand recharge zones with multiple nodes is over, sure you can use the stabilizers but that slows down the nodes recharge rate significantly. The trick these days is to find a huge node and constantly feed it weaker nodes, this can be made easier with an Advanced Node stabilizer.
